I won another daily contest at Johnny's Trading Spot, and Johnny sent me another PWE of cards from the team currently in last place in the AL East, eight games out on May 1.
Top: Four rookies from the 2001 Yankees. Of these, only Juan Rivera went on to a significant career.
Middle: some nice shiny cards of Clarke Schmidt (current ERA: 6.84) and Deivi Garcia (stuck in the minors), bracketing a gold card of the magnificent 2000 team.
Bottom: Some trade bait, with a vintage Bobby Murcer and a "Ben Baller" Luis Gil (currently recovering from TJ surgery)

ReplyDeleteCorrection: The Yankees are TIED for last place in the East! (Funny thing is, as a Red Sox fan my perception is "Hey at least we're over .500!")
