Darrell Sherman's favorite card

Outfielder Darrell Sherman played seven seasons in the Padres, Rockies and Mariners organizations, hitting .287 with 14 HR, 207 RBI and 268 SB. He made the major leagues with the Padres in 1993, hitting .222 with 0 HR, 2 RBI and 2 SB in 37 games. He is now a youth baseball coach and nutrition/physical wellness instructor in California. He kindly responded to my questions about baseball cards by sending several photos, including one he called "favorite card".

The photo in the image is from his 1993 Ultra card:

He sent a few more pictures as well:

Thanks!

  1. I always smile when I see ex-big leaguers take a minute to answer your questions and/or send you things.

  2. It's not hard to see why that would be his favorite card of himself.
