TCDB trade with an old trading friend

I used to trade with a guy named John in Michigan who was not a blogger but was on the old Zistle site. Recently he found me on TCDB and we engineered another big trade, over a thousand cards total switching hands. He is Mihome316 on TCDB, some others of you may have traded with him at some point. Trading with him is always fun, and the TCDB format really makes big trades a lot quicker and easier to set up.

By far the most cards in the set came from 2022 Topps. I still try to complete the Topps flagship set each year, despite decidedly mixed feelings about it. It is still a good way to keep tabs on all the players in the league. The photo selection is pretty good. I was going to mention the heavy use of the "city connect" uniforms even before Night Owl mentioned it the other day. There are also a lot of players who made their debut and only played in a handful of games, including pitchers with one or two games.

There was lots more, mostly from recent years but some that were a little older. Heavy on the Yankees.
Picking out some of my favorite, shiny Yankees! Adding a shiny new Rivera is particularly great.

  1. I could not fathom doing a thousand card trade. Congrats!

  2. That's a lot of cards! I don't think that the TCDB will be going away anytime soon, but since anything is possible, it would probably be a good idea, if you haven't already done so, for you two to exchange email addresses; that way you don't lose track again.
