I came across this sign while walking around Baldwin, Long Island. I took the photo then looked up the sign afterwards.
The RKO Baldwin (originally the Century Baldwin) was a single-screen movie theater with a balcony. It opened in 1933 and closed in 1986. The location is now a medical office building, no indication of the former theater. This house is a few blocks away; I am guessing someone salvaged the sign when the theater was torn down.
That's pretty cool and I'm sure I would have missed a sign like that if I were passing it.
