The front: You don’t see too many cards with pitchers
rubbing up the baseball these days. Hard to say what ballpark this is – maybe
Veterans Stadium?
The back: Dues started the game, in Pittsburgh, and pitched
six innings for the 2-1 win.
The player: 1980 was Dues’s last big league season. In 37
games over three seasons he went 6-8 with a 3.08 ERA.
The man: After his retirement he returned to his hometown of
Dickinson, TX, where he works for Glazer’s Wholesale Distributors.
My collection: I have two of his cards, 1979 and 1981 Topps.
I would be interested in trading for 1981 O-Pee-Chee #71.
