Mike LaCoss pitched fourteen seasons in the major leagues for the Reds, Astros, Royals and Giants. He was a National League All Star in 1979 with Cincinnati, going 14-8 with a 3.50 ERA. He now runs the website iBaseballChannel.com, which features interviews with former major league stars. He kindly shared with me this baseball card story.
"Many of you collectors may have this card
and don't realize this. On the back of one of my cards, a
yellow 1991 Fleer , is a picture, a headshot of "ME", BUT,
it's not me. No, I afraid that's Ken Oberkfell on my card."
Thanks!
