Colin Charland on baseball cards

Colin Charland pitched for seven years in the Angels and Indians organizations, winning 53 games, including 17 for Palm Springs in 1988. Now the Director and Coach of the Arlington A's youth baseball team in Texas, he kindly shared with me his thoughts on baseball cards.

"I collected baseball cards in my youth. I have about 80,000 or so. Seeing my baseball card for the first time was surreal and sharing a clubhouse with players whose baseball cards I had collected like Don Sutton, Donnie Moore, Lance Parrish, Bobby Grich and the rest of the 87 Angels during my first big league camp as a 21 year old was an indescribable experience."

Thanks!
