Channel-surfing with Royce Clayton

Here's an interesting tidbit from Royce Clayton's 1995 Topps:

"He has credited his maturity as a person and player to a self-help "info-mercial" he happened upon while channel-surfing at 1:AM one night in 1992."

Odd way of writing one AM. I wonder what the info-mercial was? I could find nothing online about it. Maybe one of those Tom Emanski-Fred McGriff baseball instruction commercials?
