It's rare to get a single vintage card on eBay for under a quarter, but this '71 Topps George Spriggs fell through to me at 16 cents. It's a great photo deserving of it's own post. Spriggs, one of the last MLB players to play in the Negro Leagues (the minor league Negro American League lasted until 1961), played in 130 major league games for the Cardinals and Royals, hitting .191 but stealing nine bases. He played in two day games at Yankee Stadium and Thurman Munson was the catcher in both, so that is who is pictured behind Spriggs. Notice that neither is wearing a helmet!
