Andrew Prater on baseball cards

Catcher Andrew Prater played in the Twins and Marlins organizations from 1990 to 1995. In 225 games he hit .192 with 7 HR and 68 RBI. Now the Player Development Director at Austin Baseball Club, he kindly answered my questions about baseball cards.

"Who knew there were two handsome ball players with the same name? I am the one on the right. No relation, never met Andrew (Andy) Prater #2.

I collected baseball cards growing up. Stopped after high school.

Favorite player is the late Gary Carter. I would put money on the fact that I have the largest and most comprehensive Gary Carter baseball card (and 8x10) collection."
