Finally some baseball. Check out the high-five with Tommie Agee. "Officially" invented by Glenn Burke in 1977 but there were plenty of low fives that got pretty high unofficially before that. I've seen them in old films of baseball and football games in the late 60s and early 70s. Here's a photo of Agee and Jones low-fiving with the Mets. Agee and Jones actually owned a bar together in Elmhurst, Queens. The location is now a middle school named after Agee.
Wow, that's a sweet item. Interesting that that does look very much like a high five!
