Wayne Gomes on baseball cards

Wayne Gomes pitched six seasons in the major leagues, mostly with the Phillies, winning 30 games and saving 29. Now the owner of the Virginia Baseball Academy, he kindly answered my questions about baseball cards.

- Do you have any stories about cards of yourself or of other players?

I have one card that says i have a 90 mph curveball.

I have one card that says "i am a blow em away type guy". Pretty humble

I have another card that has me throwing left handed

- Do you have a favorite card of yourself or of another player?

My rookie card in my college uniform.

- Do you collect baseball cards?

My mother has all of my cards
