The Jamie Allen profile (it's gonna be a good one - think Peter Gammons, R2-D2 and an orgy) is going to have to wait - here is a new card I've recently gotten, 2011 Topps Fernando Abad.
Playing Career: Reliever Fernando Abad had a 2.84 ERA in 19 innings last year. This year in 19.2 innings he has a 7.32 ERA with Houston.
Where he is now: Demoted to AAA Oklahoma City, where he is 1-3 with a 5.66 ERA. He last pitched on Tuesday, a scoreless inning against Tucson.
My memories: Never heard of him before getting this card.
Google Autocomplete results: He is second when you type Fernando Ab, between Fernando ABBA and Fernando ABBA lyrics, referring to a song by the Swedish band. Another prominent Fernando Abad is an anesthesiologist in Florida.
