The front: A day game at Yankee Stadium. Lezcano played in
three day games in Yankee Stadium in 1980, getting one hit in eleven at bats.
The back: Carlos Lezcano appears in the Cubs Prospects card
in this set.
The player: Outfielder Sixto Lezcano played twelve seasons
in the major leagues, mostly with the Brewers. His best season was 1979, when
he hit .321 with 28 HR and 101 RBI, and won the Gold Glove. Overall he hit .271
for his career with 148 HR and 591 RBI.
The man: He coached in various organizations for many years,
retiring in 2010. He shared his thoughts on baseball cards with this blog in
2015.
My collection: I have 23 of his cards, from 1978 to 1986. I
would be interested in trading for 1976 Topps #353 and 1977 Topps #185.
