After inexplicably benching Jazz Chisholm and Ben Rice for Game 1, Aaron Boone went with the unorthodox strategy of putting his best players in the starting lineup, and they were the difference in what hopefully doesn't end up the Yankees' only playoff victory. Rice with the two run HR early, and Chisholm scoring the winning run from first on a single, kept the Yankees alive for one more night.

ReplyDeleteMy Sox are throwing another lefty at them for Game 3, so it'll be interesting to see if they get benched again.
