"Look to your right, Ron."
Mets pitcher and NYU student?Darling was a C+ student at Yale who left the school after his junior year to start his baseball career. After the 1987 season he enrolled at NYU, taking two classes for his history degree - one on Jacksonian America, one on the two World Wars. He does not appear to have ever completed his degree, though Google AI insists he was a Dean's List student - at Columbia.

So Ron Darling is knowledgeable about the two World Wars, and Keith Hernandez is a Civil War buff. No wonder they make a good team as Mets broadcasters!
ReplyDeleteThe Yale thing is impressive. It's a shame he didn't eventually go back there and graduate... especially since a lot of the time people don't care about your GPA as long as you get that little piece of paper.
