Same day as Expo teammate Tim Foli's photo. In other news that day the Expos were the only NL team to vote to use the new "designated hitter", China released an American prisoner, a new world ski jump record was set, and in a small bar on Long Island a band called KISS had their first performance.
Like Foli, the photo for Rogers's base Topps card (his rookie card!) was probably taken the same day.
A. Never seen Stephen on one of Mr. Rogers' cards before.
