Player Profile: Juan Alvarez

I have one card of Juan Alvarez, from 2000 Fleer Tradition Update.

Playing career: Juan Alvarez made 80 relief appearances for the Angels, Rangers and Marlins from 1999 to 2003. He went 0-5 with a 5.22 ERA.

Where he is now: He is a scout for the Texas Rangers.

My memories: Only know him from his baseball card.

Google Autocomplete results: He is seventh when you type Juan Al, between Juan Alba MD, a doctor in New York, and Juan Alfonso ESPN, the Vice President, Hispanic Marketing at the sports network. The first entry when you google Juan Alvarez is not the ballplayer but the general who was interim President of Mexico in 1855.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Tavo Alvarez.
