1993 Studio Sandy Alomar Jr.

Hobbies are music and remote control cars: Alomar’s daughter Brianna has sang the national anthem at Indians games and is attempting a career as a country singer. One hall of fame voter remembered meeting both Alomar brothers in Puerto Rico when they were still minor leaguers, and they were playing with remote control cars outside their house.

Favorite sports announcer is Vin Scully: Alomar got to play for Scully’s Dodgers in 2006.

Favorite player as a kid was his dad, Sandy Alomar, Sr.: He was coached by his dad during his time with the Padres.

Might have been a pilot if he hadn’t been an athlete: Closest he ended up coming to being a pilot was playing for the Wichita Pilots in 1987.

Where he is now: First base coach for the Cleveland Indians.
