Player Profile: Russ Adams

I have one card of Russ Adams, from 2005 Playoff Prestige.

Playing career: Russ Adams played parts of five seasons with the Blue Jays, mostly at shortstop, hitting .247 with 17 HR and 113 RBI in 286 games.

My Memories: I vaguely remember him from various Yankee-Blue Jay games. Not really memorable.

Where he is now: Adams spent the entire 2010 season with the Mets AAA team in Buffalo. He was assigned there again this year, and retired on May 5 after hitting .180 to start the season.

Google Autocomplete Results: He is third when you type in Russ A, between Russ and Daughters menu and Russ and Daughters hours. Russ and Daughters is a deli in Manhattan. Another prominent Russ Adams is a missionary based in Oklahoma.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Terry Adams.

  1. Yea, some were hoping that Adams & Aaron Hill would be the future Tinkers & Evers end of the Jays double play. LOL
