The front: Looks like spring training, with the small metal
bleachers and wooded area behind the outfield fence.
The back: Poquette played high school ball at Memorial High
School in Eau Claire, WI.
The player: Poquette missed all of 1980 with a rotator cuff
injury. The career backup had brief appearances with the Red Sox and Rangers in
1981 and the Royals in 1982 before retiring.
The man: Poquette was a minor league coach in the Royals
organization for many years but is now retired.
My collection: I have seven of his cards, from 1975 to 1982.
