Player Profile: Charles Brewer

I have one card of Charles Brewer, from 2011 Bowman Chrome Prospects.

Playing career: Charles Brewer was the ninth-round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2009 and appears to be hitting his ceiling at AAA. In the last three seasons he has pitched in 71 games for the Diamondbacks’ Reno affiliate, going 24-29 with a 5.29 ERA, striking out 307 batters in 400 innings. He did make four relief appearances for the big club in 2013, allowing two earned runs in six innings.

Where he is now: His contract was sold to the Indians for the 2015 season, but they released him at the end of spring training.

My memories: Only know him from his card.

Google Autocomplete results: He is second when you type Charles Bre, between Charles Brenner, a prominent psychotherapist, and Charles Brecher, a professor of public health at NYU. Another prominent Charles Brewer is the founder of MindSpring.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Daniel Brewer.
