Last time it was a 6-3 win for Topps. Will this be closer?
A couple of very different images here. I like that Hostess didn't try to center the photo, I like the uncommon composition and the mountain in the background. Topps went with a batting cage shot. Judging by the tilt of the stands, this is one of those cases where the batter was in a crouch but Topps adjusted the angle to "straighten" their stance.Outfielder Sixto Lezcano played twelve seasons in the major leagues, mostly with the Brewers. His best season was 1979, when he hit .321 with 28 HR and 101 RBI, and won the Gold Glove. Overall he hit .271 for his career with 148 HR and 591 RBI. After his playing career he coached in various organizations for many years, retiring in 2010. He shared his thoughts on baseball cards with this blog in 2015.

ReplyDeleteBoth nice, but I guess I'll go cake for the mountain. Not quite the 1981 Fleer Carew but not bad.
ReplyDeleteTo quote a Blues Traveler song: "The Mountains Win Again!" (cake)

ReplyDeleteTopps' streak continues. This is making me like '77 Topps even more than I already do.
ReplyDeletecake
ReplyDeleteNeither really stand out. Guess I'll go with the cake, because the mountain and Sixto's hair gives off a Bob Ross vibe.
