Wallet Card at The National Safety Bank

I wasn't planning to do a wallet card of this rather faded wall ad for the National Safety Bank and Trust, as it's kind of hard to see. It's across the street from where Al sells his cards. At the corner between the two buildings in the picture is a vacant lot. Over the last couple of years a building was slowly going up, but then the skeletal structure of the new building was quickly torn down a few weeks ago. Al told me there were structural defects, but also that the plan was now to tear down the building next door and build something on the larger plot. Who knows if that is true or not, but I figured I would capture the sign for posterity just in case. The National Safety Bank and Trust catered to the nearby garment district and was acquired by Chemical Bank [now Chase] in 1951.
