1981 Topps Ed Glynn

The front: Great photo of Glynn’s explosive delivery, while a Shea Stadium groundskeeper relaxes in the background.

The back: When Glynn was traded to the Mets, the club had a pre-game ceremony where he was awarded a special personalized hot dog container, and he went into the stands to sell hot dogs in uniform.

The player: Glynn pitched for the Tigers, Mets, Indians and Expos from 1975 to 1985. In 175 games, mostly in relief, he went 12-17 with 12 saves and a 4.25 ERA.

The man: Per many comments on the Ultimate Mets Database Glynn was a well-known partier in the Flushing area during his Mets career. He now rents rooms in Virginia Beach.

My collection: I have eight of his cards, from 1977 to 1987. I would be interested in trading for 1983 TCMA Charleston Charlies #19.
