Player Profile: Danny Borrell

I have one card of Danny Borrell, from 2001 Topps.

Playing career: Danny Borrell was the Yankees’ second round draft pick in 2000, but injuries limited him to 138 minor league games over the course of nine seasons. In those games he went 39-35 with a 3.50 ERA.

Where he is now: A minor league pitching coach for the Yankees and the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Dream on 3 Foundation.

My memories: Only know him from his card.

Google Autocomplete results: He is fifth when you type Danny Bor, between Danny Borup Baseball, a high school star in New Jersey, and Danny Borislow, inventor of the magicJack. Another prominent Danny Borrell is a pastor in Oklahoma.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Dean Borrelli.
