From jmichael110 on TCDB, some great photos primarily from late 90s Fleer Tradition, which are kind of underrated but had some creative images.
. . . a refractor, and my favorite, two Baseball Flashbacks inserts. One a unique view of Duke Snider returning to the dugout after a home run, the other Al Kaline clearly getting tagged out by Elston Howard.
From OBC, Larry Zurawski sent a 1957 Topps card of Pirates pitcher Roy Face.
Gunny Musgrove sent two envelopes this week. The first had four from sixty-four . . .
. . . while the second had two football cards and another 1957 Topps Pirates pitcher, Ronnie Kline.
Finally, from Scott Duguid, three '70s high-numbers and an absolutely fantastic 1948 Bowman card of Yankees third baseman Billy "The Bull" Johnson, coming off a season where he drove in 95 runs and hit three triples in the World Series. What a great photo!
The late 90's and after Fleer photography was the best there was until they went bye bye. Upper Deck bought that tech, but they too are gone. Thank goodness for Stadium Club since then.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I knew that Johnny Pesky had a card in the '64 set. I know for a fact that I never knew that John Roseboro had been a Senator.
