1981 Topps Bill Castro

The front: Simple headshot, I assume from spring training.

The back: Castro attended Liceo Pedro Maria Espaillat in the Dominican Republic.

The player: Castro was a solid middle-reliever for the Brewers in the mid- to late-1970s. After the 1980 season he signed with the Yankees, but he failed to reach the same level of success in his year in the Bronx and subsequent two seasons in Kansas City. Overall in 303 games he went 31-26 with 45 saves and a 3.33 ERA.

The man: Castro was a pitching coach for several organizations and is now retired.

My collection: I have nine of his cards, from 1976 to 1983. I would be interested in trading for 1982 TCMA Tacoma Tigers #4.
