Wallet Card looking at the sidewalk

Some defunct companies can still be found on sidewalks, on manhole covers and other underground entrances.

LILCO (Long Island Lighting Company) was the name of Long Island's power utility until 1998, when it changed to LIPA. It is now PSEG.
MCTV (Manhattan Cable Television) was the nation's first cable television service. It took the MCTV name in 1973 and was fully absorbed into parent company Time Warner in the early 1990s.
