Blog Bataround: Six Degrees of Bacon: Mike Pagliarulo

I have a few different "favorite" players so I'm going to run this topic into the ground doing a few of these posts. Mike Pagliarulo was my first real favorite player. He was a fan favorite on the mid-'80s Yankees teams, and I was stunned as a 12-year-old when he was traded to the Padres.

Billy Martin was Pags's manager with the Yankees twice. He once tried to convert him to a switch-hitter, an experiment that lasted one at-bat. Martin appeared in a 1986 episode of Who's the Boss with Tony Danza.

Danza appeared in the movie Cannonball Run II with Burt Reynolds.

Reynolds appeared in the movie Starting Over with Kevin Bacon.
