Come on people! Was I really the only person this month to claim a card in the monthly Diamond Jesters Time Travel Trade? There are so many fun cards to trade for, from all eras, and it's easy to find something to send in return. Just any older card! I was one of only two trades last month, but still found a vintage Hall of Famer I needed. I haven't sent my return yet - what kind of cards should I send Matt to maybe rekindle a little interest? Hall-of-Famers? OPC? Oddballs? Something else? Leave a comment with suggestions!
A few more from OBC to show off. Greg Henthorn always make me say "wow!" with what he sends. No exception here.
Ron Hoehne sent a nice mix that included Eli Manning's father and Hall of Famers in two sports.
You're more active on the card acquiring than just about all of us (Johnny excluded).
ReplyDeleteI've run out of stuff for my collection on the Time Travel front. Some of it I don't have anything old enough for what I want, but mostly It's the inventory no longer interests me/I have it. (adding oddballs and OPC are good bets though).
To be fair, you weren't the only one (There was 2 this last month!) I've got 4 pending for next time so far!
ReplyDeleteNice haul. I claimed a couple from an older TTT post, should get them this week.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my time travel trades through TCDB. So you're not alone.
ReplyDelete(I think I sent in that Carmichal a while back.)

DeleteA. Participating in one of those Time Travel trades is on my hobby bucket list. Just haven't done it yet.
ReplyDeleteB. Nice Spahn.
I suspect that all of the junk wax that Matt keeps getting in return is hurting the TTT. I know that people still trade for it on the TCDB, but it seems like that's usually done so in larger quantities. With the price of stamps these days, it's not very cost effective to trade for a single '89 Donruss (or its equivalent). People might need to start putting a little more thought into what their sending in return. Just because its at least a year older than what you're getting doesn't mean that Matt will be able to find someone else to take it.
