I have one card of Rick Allen, from 1989 ProCards.
Playing career: Third baseman Rick Allen played four seasons
in the Reds organization from 1989 to 1992, hitting .238 with 13 HR and 107
RBI. A fuller description of his career (down to the smells of each minor
league city) can be found at The Greatest 21 Days.
Where he is now: He was coaching baseball at his alma mater,
Calabasas High School, a few years ago. He is no longer, there, however, and
the coach is now Rob Dibble.
My memories: Only know him from his card.
Google Autocomplete results: He is fifth when you type Rick
A, between Rick and Bubba, a comedic radio program, and Rick Aviles, an actor. There
are no references to the ballplayer on the first page of Google results for
Rick Allen; most refer to the one-armed drummer for Def Leppard.
Coming up next: The next profile will be Steve Allen.
