More goodies from 1994 Studio

1994 Studio is a cool set because it lets you peek into the player's locker, seeing things like Jack McDowell's smiley-face collection. A couple more goodies:

Look at the shoebox on the top of Terry Pendleton's card:

What are Danshuz? Doesn't sound like a brand of baseball spikes.

According to the Danshuz website, they "offer a large selection of shoes, tights, leotards, taps, dance accessories and theatrical items". Maybe Pendleton's just holding them for his daughter? I bet he took a lot of ribbing in the clubhouse for those.

Now here's Pete Incaviglia.

What is "The Ghetto?"

According to this book about the 1993 Phillies, "The Ghetto" was the area of the Phillies locker room commanded by Incaviglia, Darren Daulton, John Kruk, Dave Hollins, Lenny Dykstra, and Mitch Williams. I guess it was supposed to sound tough, but taping pictures of your kids on the sign kind of ruins that image.
