Gunny guns down some vintage needs

Robert "Gunny" Musgrove welcomed me into OBC and we pulled off a nice big, mostly blind trade.

Starting off with two '55 Bowman's and a '62 Post.

Continuing the horizontal card theme with four 1960 Topps.
Now going vertical with '59 and '61. Lots of yellow and red here, a color combo I like.
Four nice additions to my 1962 set!
Some later '60s cards.
This was interesting, a custom card signed by the late Bob Addis, who played for the Braves and Cubs in the early 50's.
Gunny also sent a lot of 1970s and early 1980s football set needs!
Some highlights from the older cards. While I assume the Addis autograph is real, it's safe to assume that the "autograph" on J.T. Snow's dad's card is not. My favorite of these is the look on Wally Chambers's face.
A lot of big stars from 1981. Dave Jennings was gone by the time the Giants won their Super Bowls, but that "sticking his hands in his pants to warm them" card will always be a classic. O.J. Anderson is shown being tackled by a bunch of Giants, but he later became a hero of the Giants surprise win in Super Bowl XXV.

  1. I love the picture for the '81 Alan Page.

  2. George Scott looks so young on that card. That Addis auto is pretty neat too; seems like something that Johnny would like.

  3. I really like the photo on the Benirschke card. Remember him from those Super Chargers years.
