The summers of '71 and '92

Matt of the Summer of '74 hasn't blogged in a while, but he is active on TradingCardDB. I reached out to him about a vintage trade and got some nice '71s for my collection, including some high numbers.
 I also got an almost-complete 1992 Classic Best Fort Lauderdale Yankees set. Just missing Brien Taylor and manager Brian Butterfield, but has the rest of cards 1-25. For some reason cards 26-29 are team logo cards, identical except for orientation (two horizontal, two vertical). Card 30 is the checklist that is another logo card. The biggest name in the set other than Taylor is Scott Kamieniecki. Hardcore Yankee fans might remember Robert Eenhoorn and Mike Figga too.

    Always nice to get some vintage high numbers. I thought Eenhoorn was Aussie for some reason, but he's Dutch. Those double-vowels should have been a clue.

    The logo cards are interesting. I wonder if the team store included them so fans could get them signed if there was a player on the roster who didn't have a card.
