Player Profile: Marlon Anderson

I have six cards of Marlon Anderson. This one is from 2002 Donruss Fan Club.

Playing career: Second baseman Marlon Anderson played for the Phillies, Devil Rays, Cardinals, Mets, Nationals and Dodgers between 1998 and 2009. He tied for the NL lead in pinch hits in 2004 and led NL second basemen in errors in 2002.

My memories: I was certainly aware of him throughout his playing career but no specific memories come to mind.

Where he is now: Hitting coach for the Hagerstown Suns in the Nationals organization.

Google Autocomplete results: He is tenth when you type Marlon, after Marlon Brando Movies, referring to films of the popular actor. Another prominent Marlon Anderson is a gospel singer.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Matt Anderson.
