1981 Topps: Phillies Beat Royals in 6

 

The LCS photos were iffy at best, but the World Series photos are clearly the real thing. Here Larry Bowa kicks up a cloud of dirt sliding into Frank White. There are two possibilities for this photo. It could be Bowa's stolen base in the third inning of Game 1, or his double in the sixth inning of Game 6. Both games are on YouTube. The Game 6 hit was a stand-up double, but we have a match in that Game 1 stolen base:

    A. Good job on your detective work... and an even better job hitting "pause".

    B. Not 100% sure... but there's a good chance I saw at least one of those games. 1979 and 1980 was around the time when I really started enjoying looking at stats and watching games on tv.
