Weisfeld Jewelers was a regional chain that at it's peak had 87 stores in nine states. This was almost the end for Weisfeld's though; it was acquired by Sterling Jewelers in 1989.
Dave Collishaw had a rough first season of pro baseball in 1986, going 3-6 with a 4.46 ERA for Spokane. He would only pitch in one more professional game, for San Jose in 1987. He seems to have kept a low profile since his playing days ended.
Hmmm. If it was a home game... maybe I was in attendance for his final professional performance. Actually... pretty sure I spent the summer working in Hawaii in 1987... so probably not.
