I was able to pick up a 1962 Topps lot on the cheap, about 20 cents a card, as all the cards had writing on them.
I was able to add 14 new cards to my set. The highlight is the famous John Anderson card with the wild hair.
These seven cards I already had, but am keeping because they are green tint versions! I had never had any green tint versions before. In addition to the green tint, which is not always clear, there are cropping differences in the photos. If you are curious whether your cards are green tints, there is a great guide on the
tomhousley_2000 Flickr account. I believe it is just the second series that has these variations.
Finally, plenty of dupes available for trade. That Felipe Alou is a green tint.
Felipe Alou wins it.
ReplyDeleteApparently, Leo is not related to Jorge.
You come across so many cards with writing on it. You should create a "written" card frankenset.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I'm seeing the wild hair... and it is pretty wild!
