1974 Topps Deckle Dating: Bobby Murcer

Bobby Murcer, underrated Yankee player and announcer.

In other news, seven people were killed in a gas explosion in Cincinnati, seven more were killed in a tornado in South Carolina, and Ken Norton defeated Muhammad Ali in San Diego for the NABF heavyweight championship, breaking Ali's jaw in the fight.

The same photo can be seen in color in his 1974 Topps Puzzle.

His 1974 Topps stamp photo appears to have been taken at the same time.

And since that photo is almost the same as his 1973 Topps photo, it seems that the deckle has a 1972 photo of Murcer, and not from March 31, 1973.
