In the latest Time Travel trade with Diamond Jesters, I picked up four cards, two football and two baseball.
Here are the football cards. What are the odds of the final score of the Super Bowl being 9-0?
In baseball I picked up two colorful Red Sox from 1960, White and Green.
Looking a little more online, I found a site with some free preview pages of Comic Book Artist Bullpen. Most of the book is not baseball related, though Night Owl might enjoy the page with some famous cartoonists being depicted on baseball cards in the '75 Topps design. There was one page of the series of 60 cards that Kirby drew in the '60 set:
That's a nice photo on the Polamalu. The only way it could've been better, is if it hadn't been cropped quite so much.
ReplyDeleteNever really got into comic books (outside of collecting those shiny "collectible" covers from the 90's and buying the trading cards in the 90's), but I definitely recognize Jack Kirby's name. That's pretty cool that he did the cartoons for those 12 cards in the 1960 set. It'd be pretty cool to track them all down.
