I have 22 cards of Thad Bosley. This one is from 1986 Donruss.
Playing career: Thad Bosley played fourteen seasons as a
backup outfielder for seven different teams, mostly the White Sox and Cubs. In
784 games he hit .272 with 20 HR and 158 RBI.
Where he is now: Executive Director of Athletics and Head
Baseball Coach at Grace University in Nebraska.
My memories: I remember him being considered a pinch-hitting
specialist. Do those even still exist?
Interesting facts: During his playing career he recorded a
funk record called “The Ballplayers” with teammate Lenny Randle.
Coming up next: The next profile will be Dwain Bostic.
