Player Profile: Lance Blankenship

I have 35 cards of Lance Blankenship. This one is from 1989 ProCards.

Playing career: Lance Blankenship was a backup infielder for the Oakland A’s from 1988 to 1993, playing for three pennant winners and one World Champion. In 461 games he hit .222 with 9 HR and 92 RBI.

Where he is now: Owns Blankenship Baseball in Danville, CA.

My memories: Only know him from his card.

Google Autocomplete results: He is fourth when you type Lance Bl, between Lance Blair, a voice-over actor, and Lance Blake Architect, referring to an architect in New York. Another prominent Lance Blankenship is an attorney in San Antonio.

Coming up next: The next profile will be Kyle Blanks.
