Plays at the plate

Topps got a lot of great action shots of plays at the plate in Shea Stadium in 1986. Here is Kevin Mitchell scoring on a Ray Knight single in a 5-2 Mets victory on June 25. Believe it or not, Mitchell was the shortstop in this game.

I couldn't narrow down this play, but it seems likely that these are two pictures of the same play, moments apart.

    It does seem like the guy wearing the blue hat in the stands could be the same.
