Wallet Card with a 1982 Camel ad

A fun combo of signs was revealed when a long-time newsstand closed down in Tribeca. The area is became quite trendy and fashionable in the late 1990s but before that was home to garment factories and artists lofts. In those shabbier times there appears to have been a jewelry repair shop with a nice painted sign, including a painted clock. I guess this is the "somewhere" where it's always 5:00. Then at some point a metal Camel Lights ad was attached to the front of the sign. The ad is from 1982. A newsstand occupied that spot since at least the 1990s and their sign hid these until they were torn down a few months ago.

  1. I like the painted clock. I don't recall ever having seen one of those before.
