American Savings Bank was a small bank on Long Island, with six branches in Nassau County. This location in East Meadow opened in 1970. The bank failed in 1992, and the branches were acquired by Bank of New York. Eventually the bank became a Chase, which recently closed this branch. When the Chase signage was removed this old sign for American re-emerged.

Maybe a non-bank at that location will have better success.
