Braves Future Stars
Skipping “front” and “back” for this card and just focusing
on the players.
Terry Harper
The player: Harper was a part-time outfielder for the Braves
from 1980 to 1986, and for the Tigers and Pirates in 1987. In 540 games he hit
.253 with 36 HR and 180 RBI.
The man: He is now a youth baseball coach in Georgia.
My collection: I have 17 of his cards, from 1981 to 1988. I
would be interested in trading for 1987 Fleer Exciting Stars #22.
Ed Miller
The player: Speedy pinchrunner-outfielder Ed Miller had
stints with the Rangers in 1977, Braves from 1978-1981, Tigers in 1982 and
Padres in 1984. In 138 games he hit .238 with 1 HR, 17 RBI and 49 stolen bases.
The one home run came in his final MLB at bat.
The man: He seems to have kept a low profile after his
playing career. Anyone know where he is now?
My collection: I have five of his cards, from 1980 to 1982.
I would be interested in trading for 1985 TCMA Beaumont Golden Gators #13.
Rafael Ramirez
The player: Ramirez was a great-fielding, decent-hitting
shortstop for the Braves and Astros from 1980 to 1992. In 1,539 games, he hit
.261 with 53 HR and 484 RBI.
The man: He still lives in his hometown of San Pedro de
Macoris, Dominican Republic, where he has done some youth baseball coaching.
My collection: I have 54 of his cards, from 1981 to 1992. I
would be interested in trading for 1983 Fleer Star Stickers #85.
