Hobbies are golf, tennis and swimming: Davis occasionally
appears at celebrity golf tournaments.
Favorite sports announcer is Chris Berman: Berman called him
Red Hot Chili Davis.
Favorite player as a kid was Johnny Bench: Davis was
originally a catcher in high school.
Most prized possession is his World Series trophy and ring:
Davis won a World Series ring with the Twins in 1991, and would again with the
Yankees in 1998 and 1999.
Might have been a musician or an electrician if he hadn’t
been an athlete: There is a band in Van Nuys, CA called Chili Davis.
Where he is now: Hitting coach for the Red Sox.
