I have eight cards of Glenn Adams. This one is from 1982 Topps.
Playing career: After brief appearances as an outfielder for the Giants in 1975 and 1976, Glenn Adams moved to the American League in 1977 with the Twins as a part-time DH and outfielder. He ended his career with a cup of coffee in Toronto in 1982. According to Baseball Reference, he was basically the same player as Ross Gload.
My memories: He’s before my time. Only know him from his cards.
Where he is now: Adams was the hitting coach of the Tigers’s Erie minor league team until his resignation in June, 2010.
Google Autocomplete Results: Glenn Adams is fourth when you type in Glenn Ad, between Glenn Adams Lacrosse, referring to the Major League Lacrosse player, and Glenn Adamo NFL, referring to the league’s VP, Media Operations. The first entry when you Google Glenn Adams is neither the baseball nor the lacrosse player but a psychology professor at the University of Kansas.
Coming up next: The next profile will be Ricky Adams.
