I thought this was an interesting tidbit on the back of Omar Olivares's 1994 Stadium Club card. "Career batting: .232 AVG, 2 HR ... Career of dad Ed, ex-Cardinal OF'er, 1960-61: .143, 0 HRs.
To be fair, Ed only had 35 major league at bats, while Omar had 164 already by the time his card came out. Still, even in his first season, Omar hit .176 with a home run in 18 at bats. For his career, in 242 at bats he hit .240 with 5 HR, not at all bad for a pitcher.
